Plan your transport

Note which fluids are present, whether tanks will be drained and who is responsible for that preparation. Send available product documents such as safety data sheets. Our overview helps with planning but does not replace a substance-specific assessment and is not an instruction for draining, disposing of or disconnecting equipment. If statements from different contacts contradict each other, flag this instead of choosing a condition yourself.

The fluid details we need

Useful details are the type of substance, approximate quantity per tank, planned fill level at collection and whether lines will be sealed. If safety data sheets are available, send them too. With this information we can check what needs to be considered for transport.

Assigning responsibilities on site

Draining, flushing and sealing are carried out by the operator or appointed specialist companies before collection. Decide who does this and by when, and add that person to the contact list. That puts the collection date on a reliable footing.

What matters

  • List fluids and tanks present
  • Ask the operator about residual contents and fill levels
  • Have responsibility for draining confirmed
