Plan your transport

Give complete site details and the confirmed time windows of both sides. Note whether a date is fixed or a period would be possible; flexible windows make planning over long distances much easier. Unresolved preparation at the start delays arrival at the destination, so both sites should be told about changes. A journey time from a route planner is not a confirmed transport date because it leaves out loading times, driving-time rules and handovers.

Clarify oversize loads and permits early

If a machine exceeds the usual road dimensions or weights, official permits may be needed for the route, and these take lead time. Give dimensions and weight as early as possible. We tell you what this means for planning and date.

Several machines on the same route

If several machines are moving from one region to another, planning them together pays off. Depending on dimensions and readiness, they can travel together or in coordinated journeys. Give us the list of all items with their collection dates.

What matters

  • Give complete site details for both ends
  • Mark fixed and flexible dates
  • Pass changes on to both sites
