Plan your transport
Assign each machine its old location, destination and preferred time window. Keep on-site works, dismantling, installation and production release separate from transport coordination; these services are usually provided by other specialist companies. A shared project plan shows dependencies without automatically including every relocation service. Each project phase should receive a clear release for its transport part.
Planning a relocation in phases
All machines rarely move at once. Phases are common, in which one area is shut down, transported and rebuilt at the new site while others keep producing. Give us the phases with machines and preferred dates; we plan the transport accordingly and show where dates become tight.
Interfaces with dismantling and installation
Transport begins when the machine is disconnected and prepared at the handover point, and ends at the agreed set-down location in the new plant. Decide who is responsible before and after. That way there are no gaps, for example on the way from the hall to the door or when moving it in at the destination.
The machine list as a shared basis
A list with machine number, description, dimensions, weight, old and new location and phase is the basis for everyone involved. Maintain this list centrally and version any changes. Transport, dismantling and installation then always work from the same status.
What matters
- Define old and new location for each machine
- Name the transport boundaries in the project plan
- Assign preparatory work to responsible parties
