Record length, width and height including attached projections and existing packaging. State whether measurements were taken directly or copied from documents; avoid combining figures from different machine configurations. A common mistake is combining length from a brochure, height inferred from a photograph and width from an old enquiry. Use one clearly identified information version instead. If preparation later changes, for example through an added crate or base, obtain new confirmation of the dimensions affected by that change.
